 The Mississippi River is still falling, however, another large rise is headed our way later this month. That means electric service across the levee at Old River will continue to be affected.  More details will follow at a later time. 

Pointe Coupee Electric is located on beautiful False River along scenic Hwy 1. The trip is a lovely one, with views of False River on one side and grand historical homes and oak trees on the other. Our headquarters reflect the colonial style of the area and blends in beautifully with its surroundings. The cooperative works hard to be a meaningful part of the community, involving itself with the local chambers of commerce and school systems in order to provide opportunities to its members and the citizens of Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and Iberville Parishes. Our mission is to make electric energy available to rural families at the lowest possible cost consistent with sound economy and good management.
