PC Electric Assists With the Backpack Program

PC Electric employees, Tyler Bordelon and Gerard Derbes assisted the First Baptist Church in New Roads by unloading 230 backpacks filled with food from the Baton Rouge Food Bank as part of their Backpack Program.  This program, organized by the church, delivers backpacks to schools in Pointe Coupee Parish filled with food that will be given to children that meet certain criteria.

Each week the students return the empty backpacks to their school's office where they are again filled with food.  First Baptist Church is continuously accepting donations for this program.  If you would like to make a monetary donation, please visit the First Baptist Church on Main Street in New Roads.  You can also mail a donation to 824 West Main Street New Roads, LA  70760.
