The following is a summary of requirements by the three parishes that PC Electric Membership Corporation serves.

General Requirements

  1. Member is responsible for installing and maintaining all equipment beyond the point of service, except the meter, in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  2. Member is responsible for load capacity including future loads.
  3. The downloadable files below illustrate the generally acceptable standards. It shall be the responsibility of the member to construct and maintain the electrical service in a safe manner. Before any connection can be made, PC Electric field service personnel will evaluate the installation for readiness. If require by local code, the installation must first be inspected, approved and tagged by the local governing authority. In any event PC Electric reserves the right not to make the connection if the cooperative does not consider the installation to be in accordance with these specifications.
  4. Use a qualified electrician to install the electrical service in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  5. Meter pan height shall be 5'-6" above ground.
  6. Structure(s) must be at least 10' away from primary line.

Pointe Coupee

  1. Obtain a 911 address - 225-638-5540
  2. Obtain a permit from the P C Health Unit - 225-638-3373
  3. Obtain a permit from the P C Parish Police Jury - 225-638-9556
    (You must have a 911 address and Health permit before applying)
  4. A permit is required when moving a mobile home into an existing mobile home park.

West Baton Rouge

  1. Obtain a 911 address - 225-346-1581
  2. Obtain a permit from the WBR Council Building Department - 225-336-2434
  3. Obtain a permit from the WBR Health Unit after receiving a building permit - 225-342-2650
  4. No permit is needed when moving a mobile home into an existing mobile home park.

Iberville

  1. Obtain a 911 address - 225-687-5148
  2. Obtain a permit from Iberville Health Unit - 225-687-9021
    (Must have legal description of property)
  3. Obtain permit from Iberville Parish Council Permitting Department- 225-687-5150
    (Must have 911 & legal description of property)
  4. A permit is required when moving a mobile home into an existing mobile home park.
    The village of Rosedale (225-648-2333) requires a Health Permit from Iberville Health Unit.
