Pointe Coupee Electric Sponsors 5th Annual Art Contest Recently the children of Pointe Coupee Electric members as well as children who attend one of Pointe Coupee Electric’s sixteen adopted schools were invited to participate in the co-op’s 5th annual art contest. The art was required to have an electrical theme and the words “Thank You” had to be included somewhere within the drawing. All art entries become the property of Pointe Coupee Electric, and the winning art will be displayed throughout the Pointe Coupee Electric’s office buildings. First place winners received a $50 savings bond, a plaque and a certificate. Second place winners received a plaque and a certificate while all third place winners received a ribbon and a certificate. The following students were selected as winners in this year’s contest: 9-12th Grade: ˇ First Place – Andrew Fields of Livonia; False River Academy ˇ Second Place – Chelsey Gonzales of Livonia; False River Academy ˇ Third Place – Cody David of Gross Tete; False River Academy 5-8th Grade: ˇ Kate Labatut of New Roads; Catholic of Pointe Coupee ˇ Jordan Moore of Ventress; False River Academy ˇ Jeremy Gremillion of Port Allen; False River Academy Pre-K to 4th Grade: ˇ Alaceia Smothers of New Roads; Catholic Elementary ˇ Jaime Carrera of Lakeland; Rougon Elementary ˇ Mallorie Moore of Ventress; False River Academy On behalf of Pointe Coupee Electric’s management, board of directors and staff, we would like to thank all of the students who participated in the art contest and congratulate our contest winners.
