Board Members are Re-elected without Opposition Incumbents Jimmy Ewing, Jr. of District 2, Ralph B. Chustz, Sr. of District 4 and Alton B. Smith, Jr. of District 6 were re-elected without opposition to serve on the PCEMC Board of Directors. They will begin their new three-year terms at a meeting of the board immediately following the 71st PCEMC Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. The directors are elected by members from the seven districts comprising the service area of Pointe Coupee Electric. Directors must be PCEMC members who reside in the district they represent. The seven directors comprising the PCEMC Board are responsible for managing the business and affairs of the electric cooperative. They exercise all of the powers of the cooperative except such as are by law, the Articles of Incorporation or the cooperative by-laws conferred upon or reserved to the members. PCEMC is your local electric co-op providing services in Iberville, Pointe Coupee and West Baton Rouge parishes for over 70 years. PCEMC is connecting people...impacting lives! |
