This month PCEMC would like to introduce Marvin Dixon to its member
owners. PCEMC is very fortunate to have Marvin as a part of their

includes purchasing material for the line department and inventory
control of that material. Marvin also goes out on trouble calls
as a lineman. Marvin says he enjoys the challenge of making sure
everyone has the proper equipment needed to perform their job duties
as efficient as possible. Marvin is a member of the National Association
of Purchasing Managers (NAPM).
Marvin is a lifetime native of Pointe Coupee Parish and lives in
New Roads, La. He is married to his wife of 27 years Ophelia (Porche).
They have two children, Chantell, 24 and Marvin, Jr. 18. The Dixon’s

Marvin, an ordained minister, is the Pastor of St. Mary’s
AME church in Addis, Louisiana. He and his wife Ophelia have dedicated
themselves to planning a summer trip to Florida for interested people
in the community. Marvin also enjoys fishing, reading and watching
movies when he finds the time. His favorite book is the Bible and
his favorite sport is football. Samuel L. Jackson is his favorite
actor. Marvin enjoys eating seafood and Ralph and Kacoo’s
is his favorite seafood restaurant.
Mr. Leon Dixon, Sr. is Marvin’s dad and his biggest hero.
Marvin said that his dad gave him a foundation in life, and he often
calls and thanks him for his guidance.
Marvin’s favorite vacation was when he and his neighbors
took their families to Disney World, Tampa Bay and St. Petersberg.
