Deron McLin
Each
month PCEMC highlights one of our valued employees. PCEMC
understands the importance of its member-owners getting to
know the people who are instrumental in providing them with
quality electric service. |
|
This month PCEMC would like to introduce Deron McLin to its member-owners.
Deron began his employment at PCEMC in February 1991 and presently
holds the position of Lead Lineman for the Operations Department.
Deron’s responsibilities include new construction of lines
and maintaining the current system.
You will also find Deron answering trouble calls and providing service
work, keeping power lines free of limbs, vines and other obstructions.
When talking to Deron, he will tell you the best thing about his
job is meeting people and helping members on a day-to-day basis.
Deron is an active member of the Lakeland Knights of Columbus and
has been with the organization for nine years.
Deron and his family are life-long residents of Pointe Coupee Parish.
He and his wife, the former Tracy Stevens, celebrated their 12th
wedding anniversary in July. They have two sons, Zackery, 8, and
Dale, 6. Deron says his greatest heroes are his parents, his wife
and his children. He stated that they have all taught him something
very special about life.
Deron enjoys spending quality time with his family. When he is not
working at PCEMC, he enjoys cooking and hunting. His favorite food
is fried Sac-A-Lait and his two favorite restaurants are Mike Anderson’s
in Baton Rouge and Gracie’s in Bayou Pigeon. His favorite
vacation was when he took Tracy and his sons to Biloxi, Miss., for
the first time. Deron’s ideal place to visit one day would
be Colorado in order to go hunting.
