Employee of the Month Travis Collins Each month PCEMC highlights one of our valued employees. PCEMC understands the importance of its member-owners getting to know the people who are instrumental in providing them with quality electric service.

This month PCEMC would like to introduce Travis Collins. Since 1998 Travis has worked the 990 miles of Pointe Coupee Electric lines. Travis’ 6 years of knowledge and experience as well as his comical nature and good humor make it easy to spotlight this valued employee.

As a lineman, Travis is responsible for new construction of lines, troubleshooting and maintaining the current system. He handles mostly hot line work, but you will also find him answering trouble calls and providing service work and keeping power lines free of limbs, vines and other obstructions. Travis enjoys working with his fellow co-workers and the cooperative members.

Travis is a resident of Rougon and a native of West Baton Rouge Parish. He has one daughter, Aubrey, who is 5 years old.

Travis enjoys spending quality time with his daughter. His other enjoyments are coon hunting and roping. His favorite food is pork chops served with rice and gravy. If he had to name a favorite restaurant it would be his mama, Alma Collins’, kitchen. Travis’s ideal place to visit would be Australia. He would love to see the outback.
