Pointe Coupee Electric Sponsors 4th Annual Art Contest Recently the children of Pointe Coupee Electric members as well as children who attend one of Pointe Coupee Electric’s sixteen adopted schools were invited to participate in the co-op’s 4th annual art contest. The art was required to have an electrical theme and the words “Thank You” had to be included somewhere within the drawing. All art entries become the property of Pointe Coupee Electric, and the winning art will be displayed throughout the Pointe Coupee Electric’s office buildings. First place winners received a $50 savings bond, a plaque and a certificate. Second place winners received a plaque and a certificate while all third place winners received a ribbon and a certificate. The following students were selected as winners in this year’s contest: First Place Winners: ˇ Abby Verret of Plaquemine; attends Crescent Elementary ˇ Brian Wilson of Plaquemine; attends Crescent Elementary ˇ Cheyenne Joffrion of Gross Tete; attends False River Academy Second Place Winners: ˇ Trey David of Jarreau; attends Rougon Elementary ˇ Edye Bachmann of New Roads; attends Catholic Elementary of Pointe Coupee ˇ Randy McMorris of Rosedale; attends North Iberville High School Third Place Winners: ˇ Desiree Guillory of Lakeland; attends Rougon Elementary ˇ Ja’Narian Johnson of Batchelor; attends Upper Pointe Coupee On behalf of Pointe Coupee Electric’s management, board of directors and staff, we would like to thank all of the students who participated in the art contest and congratulate our contest winners.
